The Cassius Clay v Henry Cooper fight took place at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday 18th June 1963. This is the rare boxing programme for the first of two fights between Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali) and Henry Cooper. In this fight Henry Cooper knocked down Cassius Clay in the fourth round and the fight was stopped in the fifth round with Cassius Clay winning the fight.
It must be noted that in 1964 after winning the heavyweight championship Cassius Clay changed his name to Muhammad Ali stating that he was a member of the Nation of Islam and that Cassius Clay was his slave name. This programme represents one of the last programmes that Muhammad Ali fought under the name of Cassius Clay.
